On Saturday, January 7th the University of Michigan Japan Student Association will be having it’s 8th annual mochitsuki festival to celebrate the new year. Features mochi-making and taste-testing, kakizome (calligraphy), kamishibai (story-telling), origami, games, manga-drawing, live music, and more.

From 1:00-4:00PM at the East Hall Math Atrium on the campus of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Free and open to the public, families welcome.
